The political inclusion of women, and the inclusion of their issues and perspectives
Women are under-represented in all of the UK’s representative institutions. Critics contend that gender equality is being sacrificed at the altar of austerity politics. A new generation of feminists appear to prefer (social media) activism to parliamentary and party politics.
This Seminar Series reconsiders the potential for feminization in contemporary UK politics. By feminization we mean the political inclusion of women, and the inclusion of their issues and perspectives.
